Important Project Shipping Information

If you are going to ship your project to Calgary please follow the following instructions:

• Please use the label provided here to ship your project. We would prefer it you could copy it on to a bright colour of paper.
• Ensure that you have put your Project Number in the appropriate box. This number will be sent you when you register with YSF Canada to attend the CWSF in Calgary.
• Projects should be shipped after April 15 (once you have a Project Number) and must be received by us by May 8.
• Do not under any circumstances send your project directly to the University of Calgary or the Olympic Oval as they will not be prepared to accept it.
• Only the project board and associated materials should be shipped to this address.
• If there is more than one piece use one label for each item.
• If you follow these directions, your project will be waiting for you at your location in the Olympic Oval.
• Byers Transportation Systems is the carrier providing ground transportation in Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon and the Northwest Territories. Federal Express Canada Ltd. (FedEx) is the carrier for shipping from Calgary to all other points in Canada. Both carriers are providing a preferred rate. If you choose to ship from Calgary with other carriers, you must make your own arrangements.

Shipping TO Calgary from:

1. Call Byers Transport at 1-800-661-6953 and tell them you are shipping to the Canada Wide Science Fair in Calgary. Give them the weight and dimensions, prepay with Visa or Mastercard and obtain a Rate Quotation Number to go on the Bill of Lading.
2. Contact the terminal nearest you and obtain particulars on dropping off your project or getting a connecting carrier (not covered by the Byers rate quotation) that will deliver it to the Byers terminal location for you. www.byerstransport.com
3. You can prepay Byers Transport for both shipping to Calgary and return shipping to your address after the CWSF.

Shipping TO Calgary from all other points in Canada:

CWSF2003 does not have a discount from any carrier - you choose your carrier and prepay.

Shipping FROM Calgary to:

Alberta
British Columbia
Yukon
Northwest Territories

1. If you have not already prearranged return shipping with Byers Transport, call 1-800-661-6953 and tell them you are shipping from the Canada Wide Science Fair in Calgary. Give them the weight and dimensions, prepay by Visa or Mastercard and obtain a Rate Quotation Number to go on the Bill of Lading. You must obtain your Rate Quotation Number by Friday, May 16. You will not be able to obtain a discounted quotation rate on Saturday, May 17.
2. The CWSF2003 Shipping Manger will provide delegates with a Bill of Lading for Byers Transport at the Delegates Meeting on Friday, May 16.
3. A CWSF2003 volunteer will tell you where to place your shipment for Byers Transport ground shipping.

Shipping FROM Calgary to all other points in Canada by ground or air express.

1. A FedEx agent will be available at the Oval to process shipping payment of your project by credit card from 1:00 - 3:00pm, on Saturday, May 17. You must indicate your choice of ground or air express. FedEx is providing CWSF2003 participants with a preferred rate. Packages for air express will be dimensionally weighed (length x width x height in inches divided by 166 = weight in lbs.)
2. A CWSF2003 volunteer will tell you where to place your shipment for FedEx ground or FedEx air express shipping.
